Energy Saving Project for Virgin Megastore

NEC-Lebanon has signed a comprehensive Energy Saving Project with Megastores of Lebanon sal for their flagship facility: Virgin Megastore in Beirut Central District. The facility is today's multimedia, musical and library's landmark in the heart of the rebuilt Beirut Down Town and has one of the highest customer flow per day per square meter in Lebanon!

The project which is due for completion by the end of 2003 will include improvements on all the exisitng loads from lighting to HVAC and motors. Total guaranteed savings are 10% with a Return on Investment higher than 35%

Energy saving project for the Holiday Inn-Nicosia Hotel

GARnet Energy Saving Ltd (Cyprus) part of NEC Group has successfully completed a turnkey energy saving project for the Holiday Inn-Nicosia Hotel. The hotel situated in the old Nicosia area, boosts more than 180 rooms with 3 restaurants and a health club. Total achieved savings are 11% with a ROI of 50%. The project included lighting retrofits, along motor and HVAC treatments

Radisson Martinez Hotel automates all its corridors with Wattstopper Occupancy sensors

NEC designed and supplied all specialized motion detectors for the total automation of all corridors and back rooms of this landmark Beirut Hotel.

More than 70 ultrasonic sensors were installed covering all corrdiors areas. Light will therefore be only ON when an employee or guest passes by the covered area. In addition, all back room areas such as health club rooms were also controlled.

The Wattstopper motion detectors with their patented zero crossing technology and ultrasonic waveform enable a very accurate sensing and control of all lighting load.

Expected payback of the project is below 30 months .

St Raphael Hotel , Marina and Resort in Limassol has signed an energy saving guarantee contract with GARnet Energy Saving LTd (Cyprus), part of NEC Group. The project provides the opportunity for the hotel not just to save more than 13% of its overall energy bill but also to improve its infrastructurer and update its equipment. It includes comprehensive lighting retrofit , lighting control, improvement of Power Factor, installation of VFD on pumps and AHU, and a full chiller retrofit . The latter consists on the replacement of the exisiting outdated water cooled chiller with a new energy efficient (very high COP) McQuay unit.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of March 2004 and will yield a 33% Return On Investment .
